do not buy
i have had this lamp for not even 4 months and it has already died. loved it while it worked; trying to get the company, OMKAY, to replace the defective lamp. will update my post if they respond. CHEAP PRODUCT; dont buy this; UPDATE: they have responded and say they are going to replace my lamp. hopefully so

Used to keep outside water pipes from freezing!
It may seem to be an unusual use of the product, but I have been using it to keep outside water pipes from freezing! I had been using a light bulb on a clamp lamp attached to the outside water faucet (with a trash can placed over it), but the light bulbs burned out too quickly! It is an old trick to keep water pipes from freezing! I researched this product and some ceramic heat lamp bulbs and discovered that they put out the same heat as a 50 watt light bulb, but lasted a lot longer! So, I purchased this product and some ceramic heating lamp bulbs and have been very pleased with the results!

Good value for the money
Great product for the price. Please be aware that you must purchase the bulb separately which is about $17 so keep that in mind. There really isn’t anywhere to clamp the light but if you can work it out it is a good starter light for a budget turtle tank.

2 lamps defective
Update: a few weeks later the switch start working and now I don't have any problem with this lamp...We order this lamp and the first one didn't work so we needed to return, the second one doesn't work the switch to turn it off, I'm thinking in return this one too because is no that cheap to keep something that doesn't work properly

Love the ceramic light fixture
We've had a turtle pond in our house for years and have gone through many light fixtures that ultimately got corroded and wouldn't work any more. The OMAYKE reptile lamp clips on easily, is a sleek modern design and has a ceramic fixture that will not corrode from the humidity of the pond. All that and it was a great price! The only negative that I can think of is that it does not take a standard base light bulb. I had to purchase an R20 flood light instead. The turtle doesn't need a heat lamp but does love to bask in the warmth from the flood light!

Not all UV bulbs work for this item.
Some UV bulbs work, but the recommended ones did not.

Clip is strong and sterdy
I like the product considering I can use it for more than just my little brothers pet turtle Wich is why I bought it for but ever since the light bulb in my room burned out im either taking it or buying another one

I did not like that a bulb did not come with it. But I supposed it did not list it either. Lol
