🌟 Breathe Better, Live Better!
The Alen BreatheSmart Fit50 is ideal for large and extra-large sized living spaces including living rooms, bedrooms, gyms, nurseries, laundry rooms, guest rooms, bathrooms, offices, kitchens, basements and more! Developed by NASA airflow engineers, the BreatheSmart Fit50 cleans 900 SqFt every 30 minutes. Alen’s True HEPA-PURE filter is best for removing airborne allergens, dust, pollen (produced by trees, flowers, & grasses), pet smells, fur, and household odors. It comes with a Medical Grade H13 True HEPA layer that removes 99.99% bacteria, aerosolized viruses, and airborne particles larger than 0.1 micron. HEPA-PURE is our BASE filter and provides clean fresh air by trapping airborne irritants that cause seasonal allergies and congestion. A Laser Smart Sensor detects airborne particles and self-adjusts to address the challenges of the ever-changing environment. The LED color display has 3 quality color indicators that update in real-time: Blue = Excellent (low levels of particles) Orange = Fair (moderate levels of particles) Red = Poor (high levels of particles). Any room, whether it is a large room like a living room or kitchen or even an apartment, the BreatheSmart Fit50 has an auto setting so you can have clean air all day and night. It comes with an ozone-safe ionizer that aides in cleaning the air, by producing negative ions which attract and clump ultra-fine particles together so the HEPA layer filters can trap the dirty air. Built to be compact, but mighty, the Fit50 is a little under 2 feet tall and 17 inches wide and has a powerful punch to clean air quickly and quietly. It has four fan speed options; the lowest produces a small frequency, like a whisper. On the turbo fan setting the BreatheSmart Fit50 emits a frequency called pink noise which is a lower tone then the white noise and sounds like a gentle rainfall. Includes: 1 BreatheSmart Fit50 Air Purifier, 1 True HEPA-Pure Filter, 1 Panel

My home's air is much cleaner now!
When I decided to do something about the poor quality of the air in my home, I began researching air purifiers. After looking at the features, cost and reviews of many brands, the best combination of these elements led me to the Alen line of air purifiers. I chose the Fit50 unit as it's capabilities best fit my downstairs area where I spend most of my time. Since I installed the unit I have seen the air quality improve dramatically. The unit was very easy to set up and get working and it has been running 24/7 since without problems. The unit was expensive compared to the air purifier unit I had before, but has proven to be much more effective at cleaning te air. The filters are also more expensive to replace and that is probably why the system is so much more effective. I am very satisfied with this unit and am hoping that it will continue to function well on into the future. One thing to note, while the unit is very quiet on the lower fan settings, when it kicks over to the higher setting when using the unit on the AUTO setting (it adjusts fan speed based on a sensor that reads air quality) it is a bit loud, not horribly so but much more noticeable. So far, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

The air actually feels cleaner - best investment I've made in a long time...
I was skeptical of the Fit50 at first because the Fit50 (and all Alen products) have a higher price point than seemingly "similar" competitors' purifiers. (The inconvenient truth regarding pricing on these units: sometimes, you DO get what you pay for...and the Alen Fit50 outperformed every single competitor in its class, regardless of price (Consumer Reports performed testing on this and about 30 other air scrubbers). After moving into NYC from the South, my allergies became unbearable. So, reluctantly, I bit the bullet and bought the Alen Fit50 in October 2018. I can honestly say that I have been incredibly pleased with the purifier, and I am over the moon delighted by the excellent customer service I received when I phoned the manufacturer directly. The only complaint I have about this purifier is that the filter life indicator does not seem to work. The indicator light is always green, and it never changes to yellow or red. I never turn the unit off (runs on automatic fan speed). I kept a (rather dirty) filter in the purifier for a while--nearly 9 months of use in the purifier--and the filter life indicator remained green. This is the only reason I did not give the unit five stars in the "ease of use" rating. I also gave four stars for noise level. While the unit is not too noisy for my taste, it does produce a noticeable pink noise when running on turbo, and some guests have noted that it is loud. I appreciate the background noise to drown out honking horns and noisy neighbors.BOTTOM LINE: If you're waffling on the purchase decision because of the price of this unit like I was, and if you have severe indoor allergies, you cannot afford not to buy this purifier. I am amazed when I clean/replace the pre-filters on this purifier, because this little machine really does scrub a lot of nastiness out of the air.If I could award 4.9 stars overall, I would. (The only real reason I would not give five stars is because for the noticeable pink noise level and the seemingly broken/malfunctioning filter indicator light that doesn't work.)Otherwise, this is an amazing little apparatus that has saved me from allergy misery. Thanks

Absolutely LOVE it!
I can't believe how much of a difference this makes in the air quality. Within seconds of starting up the purifier, the air coming out of this unit just smelled and felt so crisp and fresh, it was a pleasure to breathe in. I love the indicator light in the middle of the panel that changes colour from blue to red depending on the quality of the air in the room.At night time, while running on the low setting, the noise level is very acceptable. It's mostly a white noise humming sound. The higher settings do become louder although even on the loudest setting the noise level isn't overly obnoxious and you can still watch the TV. The display panel is actually very bright, brighter then the average night light. It's a nice white/blueish hue. If you like having a light on while you sleep, this will certainly do the trick or you may actually find it too bright, the light on the panel can be turned off.I was a little unsure about getting the plain white unit considering all the beautiful colour options. I was a little worried it will look like an imposing mini fridge but it was on sale and in the end, it looks just fine.I ended up buying 2 of these, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. It's a little disturbing how much dust ends up in the filter even when I don't see any on furniture. The foam filter cover is very easy to keep clean with a quick vacuuming. Both units have been running regularly for 2yrs now without any issues.

Super helpful post reno, esp for anyone with allergies.
Just finished a gut reno and wife has horrendous allergies. This is helping tremendously and the face plate is even nice than would have thought. Easy to use in seconds of opening. Way box opens makes super super simple. And love the automated signs re how dirty or clean (red or blue -- which helps re knowing when good to move around to new spots).Only thing they should add is some felt or rubber on circular feet to avoid marking up more delicate floors (we have walnut which is a soft wood). Add that in, would be a 5 star. And will be a nice ongoing addition beyond reno clean up for just helping keep air allergen free. Also nice and quiet, even at higher settings. And love the amount of SF covered for the size.

Does a great job, even if it is a little expensive.
Replacing the filter is easy, you can clean the foam filter a couple times before you have to replace the entire thing. We have a husky that sheds and it did a great job of removing a lot of the hair and dander from the area.We actually have two of these for our main floor and they do a good job of taking out smells, dust, and dander from the air. They are a bit expensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. We have had one for over two years and the other for almost two years and they run non-stop (remember the husky I mentioned?), and we've had zero issues with them.

Decently quiet
Nice looking machine, seems to do the work, cleans the air and it’s not too noisy. The filters are less expensive than similar price machines. Will update my review in the future.
