i bought the set to try shaving old school..... boys and girls i am not going back to the store bought expensive, cartridge crap ever again. this is the way a shave was meant to be had. i recently picked up some Williams shave soap from my local grocery store but without a good way to lather it. i needed a brush, found this set and decided to give it a try. although there are probably some better quality sets out there that fit my style better, this is probably the most bang for my buck.okay so i read the reviews before buying and noticed the "no blades came with this" trend. i ended up buying 25 extra blades to accompany my order. i was pleasantly surprised,when it arrived, to find a starter pack of 5 blades inside the box already. fear not about the blades.(of course it couldn't hurt to buy a few extra anyway so you don't run out so fast.)

The stand broke on first use. The hair, on brush, stinks when wet. I don't have an option to return, though I bought it on June 7 otherwise I would return it. My husband has a similar one that has held up for about 10 years and just needed to replace stand. I thought I'd surprise him with a new set and unfortunately was not happy. I wouldn't even put a star but have to in order for the review to go through

Love it great Christmas gift I bought a separate shaving bowl with lid that matches I wish this set would've come with a shaving bowl. If you are buying this as a gift buy blades, this set doesn't come with them.

Didn't come with blades... Very disappointed
