AIMILAR Digital Retirement Countdown Timer - 999 Days Count Down Timer

I have two of my engineers, unfortunately the best two, that have given me advance notice that they will be retiring in December 2020, seems like a long time away but with training time for new recruits not as long as it seems. I wanted something I could use to focus and remind me that time was marching on, and this is ideal.Took 2 minutes to set up, well after I worked out how many days it was between now and them leaving (Google is my friend) and I now have it sitting on my phone as a visible reminder that time is marching on and I need to start the process to replace (not sure that will be possible) them. The countdown will really come into its' own when we drop below 300 days, however it is a visible reminder for all the team, including those above, that we have an issue that needs addressing.Nice fun little unit that would make an ideal gift for any type of countdown, just remove the sticker for retirement and add your own for Christmas, birth, tax return.......

I got this for a work colleague and its a nice bit of fun, but for £12 I expected a little bit more - not least that it should be able to calculate the number of days hours etc. to the happy event, not that I should have to get out the calculators, slide-rules and calendars to work it out for myself!Its also not obvious how to attach it to anything - no stand, no hook, no hole to put a screw or pin in. Without that its a bit overpriced.That said, my colleague was delighted with it and it has become something of a conversation piece so once you do the maths (or find an app somewhere to do it for you) it does the job.

I liked the idea of it and it would certainly make an interesting gift.However it was 'dead on arrival' and never worked. You couldn't turn it on.As others have said I think this is overpriced for what it is. Had it worked I would have been satisfied because of the pleasure it would have given to the recipient.Downloaded a phone app that does the same thing, put in the date for retirement and works it out for you too. (unlike this)

This is a smaller counter than I expected, but it’s ideal for a desk without cluttering it. It is an end of year gift for a teacher, instead of the usual mugs and chocolates, I thought it was a unique gift idea and I’m quite sure the teacher, after a long year of school will be looking forward to seeing how many days, hours, minutes and seconds he has left till he retires 😉 Batteries are included which is I am happy with considering it’s a gift, I like to know I’m giving a complete gift without them having to go find batteries. It is wrapped in bubble wrap in a small white cardboard box.

I bought this as a present for someone who is retiring next year.. They love it as every day they are closer to leaving work and can watch the countdown in real time. At the end of a stressful day they are 1 day nearer to leaving

Bought as a gift, although small in size, it does exactly what is required. Gift was well received and counting down their retirement!

Used it now and again but not continuously... and now it doesn't work. Purchased it in March, 2020. Said battery would last beyond two years. Reason for the 1 star.
