I think this is a great deal for a high capacity nut feeder the birds instantly took to using it - what's not to love?Fair enough, it isn't squirrel proof but that is the only negative point - the birds all use it and this one coupled with other nut feeders and a large seed feeder keep the nation of birds in my garden and woodland area more than happy.Construction quality is very good - way better than I expected for the price as I've had more expensive feeders which were nowhere near as well made. Unless a squirrel decides to spend a long time tearing at this with it's teeth I've no doubts it will last me a few years.I'd definitely recommend it.

I wanted a new nut holder as my old was looking worse for wear. This one is a really good size and thanks to a brilliant comment posted in one of the reviews I also bought some thick lolly pop sticks and pushed them through for the birds to use as perches. It works a treat and now regularly have multiple birds using the feeder at the same time

Dragged off the feeding station by squirrels, which they haven't managed to do with a more expensive feeder that I've had for around two years. The second time this happened the top cover broke off and I was unable to fix it. Binned.

Great. Vtook a few days for birds to get used to it hanging in the tree but know regularly have bluetits and Robins feeding off it and the squirrels can't touch it. Yes!

The wire which the cage is made of is very thin and it only took the squirrels 3 days to chew through it and have a squirrel pick nick, they cant wait for me to buy these again, but I wont be bothering.if you just have birds you should be alright but definitely a no no if you have squirrels.

arrived bent but not really worried about that. I have put nuts in as per advertised but birds don't appear to be able to get to the nuts. I am going to try cutting the nuts into smaller pieces to see if this helps

Best nut feeder I've had, it's been in the garden now for almost 2 years and it has withstood rain, snow, hail, wind etc along with loads of washes, it went a little rusty on the top but that came off when I washed it.It's very large so a lot of birds can get on it at once, every bird that visits my garden has just about been on it.With the smaller nut feeders I used to have to go out and fill it up every night, now the birds can enjoy their nuts for about three days before it needs refilled (I get a lot of birds in the garden!)It's easy to fill and the lid slots back down snug.

I've had nut feeders before but parts have been made of plastic which eventually snap. This feeder is all metal and very sturdy. I've been using it and it shows no sign of the squirrels forcing it open either!A very good purchase and value for money.
