Bad quality control
My parents have a lot of these units in their home. Unfortunately, it would be expensive to replace them with a different unit so I am stuck using them. I ordered this as a replacement to a 15 year old unit that failed. I would have to do a lot of sheetrock and painting if I wanted to purchase a different brand. I have purchased two of these units recently and they were both bad out of the box. Each one had a different problem. I was able to get one to work by using parts out of two units.
