Madhava, Pure Raw Ambrosia Honey, 23 oz

In general it’s a great honey.When we tried it first time, several years ago, we liked it so much that we signed up for automatic deliveries. We were happy with it until we began getting ’crystallizied’ version of it. There is note on the bottle how to handle it, but, no matter what we did we couldn’t convert it back to liquid state. I even was considering to cancel subscription. Fortunately; last delivery was fine again. I’d guess they were getting rid of pre-Covid stock.? Hopefully, they are back to normal.Bottom line, when it’s fresh it’s very good and I’d recommend it.

I first tried this honey while visiting family in Longmont Colorado. We immediately noticed how rich the flavor and texture was. On first taste I felt as though I could taste the different plants in which the pollen was obtained from . I was so impressed with this honey that I began taking a large Tablesppon each morning and evening while I was there to combat the allergy symptoms I was experiencing from the altitude and climate change. Within 3-4 days all my allergy symptoms were gone I felt great and I knew I had to get more. I ordered 2 boxes so that I would have it upon returning home. After returning to work (I work in a nursing rehab) I found out that while gone our maintenace man had experienced a mishap while working on a project and had severed part of his thumb behind the nail, the doctors were able to reattach the digit however possibility of success was minimal. Each day I talked with the maintenance tech and was growing more and more frustrated in that the doctor was giving up and advising him to do the same I remembered (I am not a doctor nurse and have no medical knowledge to support this) that while vacationing I had seen a documentary on king tut and the healing properties of honey so since the thumb was getting worse with the antibiotic ointment I suggested maybe he see a naturopath and see if he could consider one last try with a honey dressing. The doctor did not feel like "honey even medical honey was going to benefit the thumb in either way but the guy was willing to try. 4 days into the "medical" honey Jack was still not seeing results so I suggested I bring hi, some of my Colorado raw honey just to see since so,etimes the honey tasted a bit medicine like to me. So applying this Ambrosia honey 1-2 times daily within one week the thumb stopped showing signs of infection and 3 weeks later was showing signs of new tissue growth. It's now been 4 months since this happened and my friend still has his entire thumb he calls me his Super Hero and savior. His Doctor doesn't believe the honey healed but M and Jack believe in the power of natures gifts and I will forever use this honey not only for eating, allergies wound healing and digestion so will my co worker. he had me order him spa case as well, he told me he hoards it in his shop for just in case. So in the end I believe this wonderful honey is the best you can get and it tastes great. In event of zombie apocalypse I've got my honey, Jack has his honey I suggest you get your honey too it's truly a jack of all trades gift from the gods.

This is my favorite honey! It's delicious and seems consistent to me. The packaging is perfect for my arthritic hands. This was my first order of it through Amazon because I usually buy it when in Colorado or at Whole Foods but that all involves long drives so was delighted to see it was available. My grandkids love it.***To the people complaining about it crystallizing: ALL HONEY CRYSTALIZES! It's easy to fix it by putting the whole bottle in hot water (not boiling) for half an hour or so OR a few seconds in the microwave. Loosen the lid and heat in 10 second increments. All honey crystallizes but it doesn't go bad! Just heat it up. You can reheat it over and over. I also do that when cooking with it because it's easier to measure when more runny.

After reading all the great reviews we wanted to give this honey a try. We love Colorado fruit so we figured the bees would have gathered a nice bounty of flavor. We usually by another brand of raw honey and the price of this one was slightly less, so that was a factor. We use honey daily and a big bottle goes pretty fast. This honey comes in a much smaller bottle than we usually get so we were surprised to see it turn to sugar so soon after opening. Sure we can just put the bottle in hot water, but what a nuciense. Back when we got processed honey from the store shelf, that happened frequently but never since we started buying raw. We won’t be buying this one again because not only did it turn to sugar to fast, the taste was not as good as we believed it would be, (due to all the rave reviews). We understand that everyone won’t like the same things in the same manner, so we will just chalk this up to a difference in opinion.
