Good to have one of these for splitting your 50A power
It's helpful to understand that the two end plugs are drawing power from the same wire and that current doesn't get evenly distributed to the two separate end plugs. Depending upon what you plug in, you may trip your breakers. I learned this through "experience" although it may or may not be written in those instructions that were missing. I'm not an expert so I don't know if there are potential problems but I also used it successfully with a 30A adapter. It appears to be well built.

Exceptionally robust and well-built dual outlet dogbone.
This is the perfect addition to our motorhome when staying in parks that have both 30 amp and 50 amp power. We use the 30 amp to power our RV directly, and this dual 15 amp from 50 amp supply gives us the additional wattage we need to power additional 120-volt appliances, lights, tools, and other powered items. Each of the two outlets provides 15 amp capability which translates to roughly 1800 watts available. For us, that means powering external cooking and lighting items without worry about the 15 amp circuits internally. The dogbone itself is extremely well-built and very heavy gauge cabling. Robust and highly functional. The finger slots in the handle make for easy installation and removal from 50 amp outlets. This is a one-of-a-kind dogbone that doesn't exist elsewhere. Others have 50 amp to 30 amp and then an additional 30 amp to 15 amp dogbones. This eliminates the need for the 30 Amp adapter to go directly from 50 to 15 amp outlets.Very pleased with this item and easily rate it at FIVE STARS. I can honestly and very heartily recommend this dogbone for anyone who can make use of it as we have!UPDATE:After many uses in a number of campgrounds, we are reiterating our FIVE STAR rating! The dogbone has worked flawlessly and has made the use of a number of powered products and tools available that we could otherwise have not been able to use due to the power consumption of the 30 amp service in our motorhome. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as an exceptionally well-designed unit!*If you found this review helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the "helpful" button below!

Works as expected
We got this to use in our apartment garage for our deep freezer. It plugged into the outlet perfectly and our freezer powered on immediately when we plugged it into the other end. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect!
From time to time I needed a little more 120 Volt electricity outside the garage. I had previously install a Nema 14-50 for electric car charging. When I saw this line splitter I thought "Prefect". As you can see from the photos , just plug it in and you have two 120 Volt lines. As one reviewer noted you have no protection from the line breaker as it is sized for the 220 volt Nema outlet. An easy way around this concern is to plug in an outlet that has a current breaker built in.***Note this unit will not work unless your Nema 14-50 has been wired with both a ground and a common.

HOME USE POWER OUTLET
Just bought a new Inverter generator iGen 4500 and needed a power takeoff for the 30 amp power outlet. The provides me with 2- 15 amp outlets to use . Now I have 2-20 amp & 2-15 amp outlets to use. Covers most power I would need in an emergency.

Heavy enough for my needs
RV Y Adapter 50 amp to 2 - 20 amp circuits. I needed to get 2 - 120 volt circuits from my 240 volt welder receptacle. Buying this was only a little more expensive and a lot easier than getting the individual parts rounded up. I recommend this to those who understand the risk (insanity) of having a 50 amp breaker protecting a 20 amp circuit. The adapter was tested with a load of 3300 watts on one leg for 30 minutes. No heat was detected at the end where a heavy duty cord was plugged in. Bottom line is "thumbs up."

Very well made and durable in appearance.
Purchased this to split the 240 volt 50 amp shoreline receptacle into 2ea 120 volt 30 amp receptacle plugs for temporary use in which I am using a second 30 amp power distribution box in my RV. In other words it has allowed me to utilize 2ea 30 amp power distribution centers in my RV until I replace my old 30 amp power distribution center with a 50 amp power distribution center I will be purchasing in February. It is very well made and durable in appearance. Will be a nice addition to my collection of adapters and such when I have finished using it for its current use.Sincerely,Ronald L.
